Making Connections New Orleans is a project focused on prioritizing the mental health and overall well-being of Black men and boys in New Orleans. To that end, we denounce any behavior that threatens the safety and livelihood of Black people in New Orleans and across the country. We stand with the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, David McAtee and countless other that have died at the hands of law enforcement and their over policing and violent tactics. Black Lives Matter is not just an organization or a cause, but a battle cry of a movement that bonds people together in a common goal to end racial injustice in this country. Making Connections New Orleans acknowledges that racism and police brutality are public health concerns and should be addressed. We support protestors and anyone who is using their voice to bring about positive change for Black people. Making Connections New Orleans will continue to provide support to Black men and boys in New Orleans by prioritizing their mental health and overall well-being through this fight for racial justice.
